'set trace width' keyboard shortcut doesn't take effect until next mouse move

in a new PCB layout:

• move the mouse to an empty part of the design surface
• hit ‘a’ key. note that there’s no blue circle (bug 1)
• move the mouse slightly. note that the blue circle appears.
• hit the ‘’ key to change trace class
• note that the blue circle doesn’t change size (bug 2)
• move the mouse slightly. note that the blue circle changes size.

what’s weird is that the trace class change takes effect immediately in the middle of laying a trace, but not before…
