I clone a project and made significant changes. When I go to layout all of the old layout are there and I like to start fresh. How can I remove everything except for the parts.
Click on the filter button in the selection tool. You can choose which items will be selected and which won’t.

The filter selection tool works out. If I accidentally delete a part from the layout but is still present in the schematic. How can I get that part back?

Sorry for the delay but I was away for the rest of the week.
More often than not, the ‘undo’ feature, found in the right-hand panel under the ‘history’ category can fix that for you. If not, the best thing to do would be to delete the schematic symbol and re-add the part.
