If you’re a routing a trace that needs to transition between layers, hit the number key of the destination layer to automatically place a via, transition to that layer, and continue routing.
Here’s a video showing how it works.

Hi,
I’m a newbie and have spent the last couple minutes trying to drop a via through layers of a PCB without much luck. The video link is broken. I need some help on how to drop a via.
Thanks.
Hi, this is simple. In trace mode left click to add a vertex in a point when you want to place the via, than press “2” if you want to shift from the top to the bottom or “1” if you want to shift from the bottom to the top. And so on if you have more than two signal layers. 1 and 2 and so on are the numbers of layer.
Thanks a lot Eugene. It helped.
ur welcome
