Modules and Silkscreens

I have posted about this issue before, but now I am at a point where I am stuck in my design. I fixed my reference designators when I created my modules, however once I rotate my module in my design, my designators all rotate with it. I can no longer keep all of my designators in the same direction. Additionally, the “M1:” causes all of my silkscreen labels to be pushed over and now interfere with my solder pads for the components themselves.

My question is:

  1. Is there an easy way for me to fix this in the near term

  2. Can the just silkscreen be decoupled entirely from the module

  3. Is there any plan to address this by Upverter?

Ok, @mwoodworth33 says the best and easiest solution is to explode the module which will let you edit the layout of the module including the silkscreen.

We don’t have a solution to 2 right now. Though its a good idea. A sort of partial explode that lets you edit the silkscreen without editing the rest of the layout.

For 3, the hardest part is coming up with the right fix. Once we have that I can make sure it gets into the queue and gets worked on. Let me know if you have a dream fix idea and we can jam on it.
