Getting the most from Upverter collaboration

Here are some tips for using Upverter’s powerful features to jumpstart collaboration on your team!

  • You can create a team in Upverter under which you can create your projects and everyone can collaborate.
  • You can of course use the large central parts library. But if you want to create an organiziation-specific library of components, you can create that from your team page. Everyone on the team will be able to pull from and add to it.
  • In the editor be sure to use the Notes tool and Issues list to markup the design as a team. You can visually point out specific things on the design to be fixed or investigated. It’s much clearer than typing in an email “Move the trace to the right of R12 up a little bit”. Just point to it and track the issues in the list as a team!
  • You can discuss your design on this forum and get help from the community on design-specific issues. You can even post your design for review.
  • You can embed your design anywhere on your website. This makes it easy to share. Grab the embed code from the “Download Associated Files” tab of your project page.
  • Existing designs can be copied or used as a starting point using the Forking feature.
