Switching to EasyEDA as well. JLCPCB gives a discount if you use their tool.
Particularly galling is that I spent 6 hours on a very complicated footprint for a new part and find I can’t use it.

Today Dec. 05, the “Error Loading data from the server” remains. Andrew Smith is no longer is updating the Forum and does not reply. It seems like nothing is happening!!! This is not good. More than 6 weeks now.
Guys I’ve heard Upverter has been essentially unsupported since the middle of December, no other updates.
No announcements from Altium, I think it is effectively dead and we are casualties.
Just looking at this. The “new” Upverter, that deals with modular things (it already did that) has a different login system. I use my GitHub login to log in to old Upverter but i can’t log into the new one.
I would lay very short odds that whoever implemented the new login system broke the old Upverter and does not care.
Upverter is NOT dead. There is a posting on Linkedin, indicating Altium just hired, in late December, a new Upverter team member. I suspect new information will be forthcoming about this excellent news. Write to Upverter. It will get action. Every letter represents thousands who don’t say anything. In my opinion Upverter is the best cloud based Schematic/PCB tool at no cost.
As far as I can tell, Altium has killed off Upverter. They are only interested in flogging overblown and grossly overpriced products. I have contacted Altium personnel in the UK and Belgium. They all feign ignorance.
So… has anyone found a way to import or add parts to projects or is this just no longer viable for PCB design?
I have been able to access my previous projects but still unable to add or change components. Hopefully Altium resolve the issue, I’d even be willing to pay toward the service if we can trust it will be supported (but cannot afford “Designer” pricing). It will be a slog but many others and I have started down the path of learning another EDA.
Yea… I surmise we are each of the 3 days from moving to kicad huh? Disgrace, I had been utilizing upverter starting around 2017
Hi everyone,
I just got word from one of our developers that they believe they have fixed the issues. I have confirmed that the site is up and the library components are available. Please let me know if you continue to experience any problems. I’m sorry for the extremely long down time.
Thanks,
Andrew
Thank you Andrew, I have access to my components again.
Andrew I’m glad you’re still there BTW, we were thinking the worst
Hi, Upverter server seems to be down again, any plans to bring it up?
