Description - Power Electronics Engineer

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of mechanical assemblies and systems in an innovative array of high power density products. In the consumer space we aim to fuse form and function to enable new consumer experiences, in the OEM space we work on extreme performance systems
  • Support rapid prototyping, hardware testing, and mechanical qualification activities
  • Develop mechanical engineering specifications, and design components to spec.
  • Support DFx activities, tooling perfection and material selection for manufacturing
  • Work with CRM and PDM tools to control BOM and support manufacturing
    Interface with manufacturing teams to bring your designs to production-ready status
  • Support early-stage field returns and related ECOs

Basic Qualifications:

Candidate must have completed a BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field, industrial design sense a plus. Suitable candidates will have skills and experience in the following:

  • Strong consumer electronics or related field design and packaging experience
  • 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred), good surfacing skills a plus
  • Shock, vibration, and thermal design, analysis, and testing
  • Injection molding, insert molding, progressive stamping and forming, cold forming, deep draw, extrusion, heat staking, hot-bar, and other mechanical fabrication processes and associated tooling design and support
  • Material selection, material safety criteria, finishing processes
