Location: San Francisco
A leadership position as an early employee within a fast growing CE company backed with some of the top Angels and VCs in Silicon Valley.
• Lead (in-house & contractor) team of hardware & firmware engineers
• Lead, hire and develop a world-class team for CE devices - including expertise in Video/camera, wireless, power management and battery technology as well as design for layout around EMC
• Attend and run cross-functional engineering meetings (Must have experience running these meetings with ODMs, CMs)
• Create internal and external system specifications
• Dive into and take ownership of crucial design issues
• Lead design reviews
• Build design processes to continuously improve performance and quality
• Validate hardware/software and debug issues
• International Travel
Minimum qualifications:
• 10+ years work experience in consumer electronics/embedded systems design or related field
• Must have experience designing high volume products from beginning to end and dealing with contract manufacturers
• Strong EE fundamentals
• Experience with camera, imaging, video SoCs design and manufacturing
• Experience with: embedded systems, processor selection,various communication protocols (USB, SPI, I2C and UART), low power design, sensor design, various RF technologies (BLE, WiFi, Zigbee)
• Hands-on experience in prototype bringup and debugging, functional verification and manufacturing support
• BS/MS degree in EE or ECE or equivalent practical experience
