Hi there.
We’re seeing more and more parts diffs that make no sense at all. Here’s an example:
https://upverter.com/parts/tools/diff?lhs=c4aaab499915baaf&rhs=da390fb42fa4bb0d
The left hand side is titled “Original created by UpverterPartsRobot on December 16” (presumably, this is 2016)
The right hand side is titled “Update created by UpverterPartsRobot on October 7, 2016”.
First of all, why is the update dated earlier than the original?
Second, what is rationale for placing the pins on the side of the symbol that they have been placed? This doesn’t seem to meet your own style guide or best practice for schematics.
Last, I notice a trend towards using a line or two to on the silk for each part, rather than a square or rectangle. But in this diff, the updated part has regressed from the lines back to the box. Which makes me even more confused about which is the update and which is the original.
Can someone please explain this.
