It would be great to have an update from Upverter with some clear info on where things are going. It feels like its about to fail, which has me uneasy and looking for alternatives. Still, there are a lot of great things about Upverter and I would love to stick with it if I knew the management was about to hire more developers or something.
One thing I would like to suggest is that if you don’t have the staff and resources to do any of the pressing bug fixes, you could open-source the entire codebase on github. That would allow us (the users) to do the fixes we need and submit pull requests, as well as have the assurance that if the company goes under, we can keep it running on our own.
Just some thoughts. I just can’t recommend it to anyone the way things are right now, but I believe there’s still a lot of potential here.
